			<description><![CDATA[ Can anyone help with Identifing a german artillery shell I have.<br>  The shell mesures 170 to 180 mm x 1055 mm, It was manufactured by Patronenfabrik in Karlsruhe in 1905. It has the crown over m so I assume its navel.The initals ZGE The # 15 and a marking that looks like a capital E pointing down are stamped on the bottom.any help would be greatly appreciated ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Despite all the death, trench foot, and poisan gas, there were still some little known parts about the Great War that showed shreds of humanity.  <br><br>The prime example that comes to mind is the Christmas Day Truce.  It is December 24, 1914.  The war is still in the opening stages.  While the General's sipped wine and bickered about where to go on the offensive next, the troops settled down in their dug outs and prayed that the New Year would bring them better fortunes.
